Creating Reservations

Create reservations quickly from the staff dashboard. Each reservation includes guest details, date & time, and one or more assigned tables.

Opening the Reservation Form

  1. Navigate to Reservations in the staff sidebar
  2. Click the "New Reservation" button at the top of the page
  3. A dialog form will appear

Filling in the Form

Guest Name

Enter the guest's name or nickname. This is a single text field — you can enter a full name, a nickname, or a company name.

Number of Guests

Enter the expected number of guests. This helps you decide how many tables to assign.

Date & Time

Select the date and time for the reservation. The date picker allows you to choose a specific day, and the time input lets you set the exact hour and minutes.

Note: You cannot create reservations in the past. The system only allows future dates and times.

Table Selection

Select one or more tables for the reservation. Tables are grouped by zones (e.g., Bar, Terrace, Indoor) for easier browsing.

  • Single table — For smaller groups, select just one table
  • Multiple tables — For larger groups that don't fit at one table, select multiple tables. This is useful for parties, business events, or family gatherings

Notes (Optional)

Add any special requests or notes. Common uses include:

  • Food allergies or dietary requirements
  • Birthday or celebration setup
  • Preferred seating area
  • High chair needed for children
  • Accessibility requirements

Editing a Reservation

  1. Find the reservation in the list
  2. Click the Edit button on the reservation card
  3. The same form opens pre-filled with the current data
  4. Make your changes and click Save

All fields can be modified, including the table assignment. If you change the tables, the old assignments are removed and replaced with the new selection.
