Generate QR Codes

Each table in tableQ has a unique QR code. When guests scan it, they're taken directly to your menu for that specific table.

Generating QR Codes

QR codes are automatically generated when you create a table. To access them:

  1. Go to QR Codes in the sidebar
  2. You'll see all tables with their QR codes

Downloading and printing

For each table you can use:

  • Download — saves the QR code as a PNG image
  • Print — opens your browser's print dialog

If you want to print multiple tables at once, use Download all to generate a single PDF with all QR codes.

Buttons on the “QR Codes” page

At the top of the page you’ll also find:

  • Compact / Standard — changes the QR layout (how much header/text is shown around the code)
  • QR Design — opens global QR design settings (templates, colors, shapes). After saving, the design is applied to all QR codes.
  • Regenerate all table codes — generates new QR links for all tables (useful if you want to invalidate old printed codes)
  • Regenerate restaurant code — resets the restaurant identifier used in QR links (invalidates old links; the app will then regenerate table codes)

Printing QR Codes

You can download QR codes as PDF for printing. We recommend:

  • Size: At least 5×5 cm for easy scanning
  • Material: Use laminated prints or table stands for durability
  • Placement: Center of the table, clearly visible to guests

Regenerating QR Codes

If you suspect unauthorized access or want to refresh your QR codes:

  • Single table: Click the regenerate button next to a specific table
  • All tables: Use "Regenerate All QR Codes" in Settings → Tables
  • Restaurant code: Use "Regenerate Restaurant Code" for maximum security reset

Regenerating QR codes will invalidate all previous codes. You'll need to reprint and replace them.

Tips for Best Results

  • Print QR codes on a white background for optimal contrast
  • Test every QR code after printing to confirm it works
  • Consider adding a short instruction like "Scan to order" next to the QR code
